Dr. Adina grew up listening to stories about her own ancestors and developed a keen interest in all things history and tradition. Besides several academic degrees in history and education, she received a certificate in genealogical research from Boston University and has taken courses with the National Genealogical Society and National Institute of Genealogical Studies. Her main specialties are in Jewish genealogy, genetic genealogy (i.e., using DNA to find family), and New England. She is a member of the Jewish Genealogical Society of Greater Boston, National Genealogical Society, International Society of Genetic Genealogy, and GeneaBloggersTRIBE. She also participates in several social media groups related to traditional and genetic genealogy, including as a moderator for a popular Jewish DNA group on Facebook and the Social Media Coordinator for NextGen Genealogy Network. Her services includes building family trees, record retrieval, DNA cases, and speaking engagements.
