Melissa has experience using DNA test results and genealogical research to help adoptees and others with unknown parentage identify their birth parents and biological families. She is also experienced in using DNA test results to help break through brick walls and solve tough research problems going back several generations into the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. Melissa is a well known speaker on using DNA in genealogical research, and has taught in genetic genealogy courses at the Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy, the Institute for Genealogy and Historical Research, and Boston University. She also teaches locally throughout New Jersey and New York.
