I am an American expat residing in Ireland and working as a genealogy and historical researcher. I have been involved in my family genealogy research for over 30 years. I have a B.S. degree in Accounting from Fairfield University, Fairfield, CT and I am a qualified Solicitor and non-practising member of the Law Society of Ireland. I have completed my M.A.in Local History from University of Limerick and I am presently a PhD candidate at Mary Immaculate College in Limerick. I am a Chairperson of the Clare Roots Society, as well as a volunteer with Ireland Reaching Out and a Tulla member of that organisation. I also belong to a variety of local historical organisations in Counties Clare and Limerick. My previous legal experience has given me an interest in the land research in Ireland and probate records that can often uncover valuable family information. In addition, I have a special interest in newspaper research and I have used this source for not only thesis work, but also genealogical research.
